This mini 365nm UV flashlight is the easiest way to see what your crystals are hiding. Switch off the lights, click it on, and Yooperlite flares orange, volcano agate turns neon green and fluorite can glow blue. It is small enough to live on your crystal shelf or in a pocket, and it charges over USB, so there are no batteries to keep buying.

Product Highlights

  • Wavelength: true 365nm longwave UV, the wavelength collectors use to bring out fluorescence in UV reactive crystals.
  • Power: USB rechargeable with a 14500 rechargeable battery, so it is ready again after a charge.
  • Size: a mini, pocket-friendly body that fits easily in a hand, bag or drawer.
  • Body: black finish with a simple click switch.
  • Best for: Yooperlite, fluorite, calcite, selenite and glowing agates.
  • What's included: one 365nm UV flashlight.
  • Good to know: fluorescence strength varies from stone to stone, and a dark room gives the most dramatic glow.

Why 365nm Matters

Many inexpensive black lights run at 395nm. They throw a lot of visible purple light, which washes over a crystal and hides much of its real glow. A 365nm light sits deeper in the longwave UV range, so far less purple spills onto the stone and the true fluorescence shows through. That is why mineral collectors reach for 365nm when they want to see the bright orange in Yooperlite, the green fire in volcano agate or the soft blue in many fluorite crystals. Explore more glowing pieces in our UV reactive collection and see which ones light up for you.

How to Use

  • Darken the room, hold the light about 5 to 15 centimeters from your crystal and slowly move the beam to find the brightest patches.
  • Check new arrivals the day they land and see which of your stones fluoresce. Many collectors are surprised by pieces they already own, such as calcite and selenite.
  • Pair it with a Yooperlite heart or a volcano agate carving for a display that changes completely when the lights go out.
  • Set a glowing piece on one of our crystal stands and use the light for evening photos or a quiet nighttime altar.
  • Give it as a gift with a UV reactive stone. It suits curious kids with an adult nearby, rockhounds and anyone who loves a little wonder on their shelf.

Care and Safety

Charge the flashlight fully before first use and recharge it when the beam starts to dim. Keep the lens clean with a soft, dry cloth. Never shine UV light into anyone's eyes or at pets, and keep it out of reach of young children. Use it for viewing and inspection rather than leaving it on a crystal for hours, since long UV exposure can slowly fade some light-sensitive stones. Store it in a cool, dry place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this make all crystals glow?

No light makes every stone glow. Fluorescence depends on natural trace minerals inside each crystal. Yooperlite, many fluorites, calcites, selenite and some agates respond well. Quartz and many dark stones show little or nothing, which is normal.

Why does a 365nm light look dimmer than a purple party light?

Your eyes barely see 365nm light, so the beam itself looks faint. That is a good thing. The less visible purple there is, the more clearly the crystal's own glow stands out.

How do I charge it?

It charges over USB using its rechargeable 14500 battery. Plug it in until the battery is full, then unplug and enjoy. Recharge whenever the beam starts to fade.

Is it safe to use around crystals?

Yes, for normal viewing. Short sessions do not harm crystals. Avoid leaving it pointed at a stone for long periods, and never look into the beam or shine it at people or pets.

Is it a good gift?

It makes a great add-on gift for anyone who collects crystals. Pair it with a Yooperlite or volcano agate piece so they can see the glow the moment they open it.

What Is UV Fluorescence?

Fluorescence happens when a mineral absorbs invisible ultraviolet light and gives it back as visible color. Tiny natural impurities, called activators, cause the effect. In Yooperlite, fluorescent sodalite glows fiery orange. In volcano agate, trace minerals glow neon green. Fluorite often glows blue, and calcite can glow red, orange or pink. The same stone can look plain in daylight and spectacular under UV, which is why so many collectors keep a 365nm light beside their display. Each crystal is natural and unique, with no two crystals being identical. Some crystal may contain naturally formed cracks within itself, not caused by other objects.

Please note that size, color, and patterns may vary due to the different batches of crystals and its natural inclusions, or hand measurements.
