Azurite and malachite are two copper minerals that often grow together, and in this raw specimen the deep royal blue of azurite meets the rich green of malachite in one natural piece. The contrast is striking, like a tiny landscape of sky and forest. Our supplier describes these as collector grade, 100% natural specimens with no repair. Each option is an individual piece, listed by weight or box size, so you choose the exact specimen you want for your cabinet or collection.

Chakra Connection
In crystal tradition, azurite is one of the classic stones for the third eye chakra, valued for insight, intuition and clear thinking, while its blue tones also connect it to the throat chakra and honest expression. Malachite is traditionally a heart chakra stone of transformation and emotional growth. When the two grow together, many people see the specimen as a meeting of mind and heart: insight that leads to real change. It is a favorite for study spaces and meditation altars. How to Use
- Display it in a cabinet or under a glass dome where its blue and green can be admired without handling.
- Place it near your desk or study area as a visual focus for deep thinking and learning.
- Pair it with lapis lazuli or labradorite for an insight and intuition themed display.
- Use it as a focal point during meditation by simply gazing at its colors rather than holding it.
- Give it to a mineral collector, a teacher, a lifelong learner or anyone who loves deep, saturated color.
Crystal Care
Azurite and malachite are soft copper minerals, about 3.5 to 4 on the Mohs scale, and their dust should not be inhaled or swallowed. Do not use this specimen in water, elixirs or baths, and keep it away from children and pets. Wash your hands after handling. Dust it with a soft dry brush, keep it out of strong sunlight and heat, and store it apart from harder stones. Read our crystal safety guide for more.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this azurite natural?
Yes. These are natural azurite and malachite specimens. The blue and green colors come from copper in the minerals themselves, and our supplier states the pieces are unrepaired and untreated.
Is azurite safe to handle?
Yes, for normal display and occasional handling. Like other copper minerals, it should not be licked, used in water or ground into dust. Wash your hands after touching it and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
Will mine look like the photo?
Yes. Each option is an individual specimen, so you receive the exact piece shown for that option. Screens may make the blue look slightly brighter or darker.
How big is each specimen?
Options are listed by weight, from about 11g to 90g, and two boxed pieces are listed by their 34mm box size. Smaller pieces suit thumbnail collections, and heavier ones make strong cabinet specimens.
Is it a good gift?
For the right person, yes. It is ideal for mineral collectors and anyone who loves rich natural color, though it is best kept as a display piece rather than a stone to carry.
What Is Azurite?
Azurite is a copper carbonate mineral that forms in the weathered upper zones of copper deposits. Over time, azurite can slowly alter into malachite, its green copper carbonate cousin, which is why the two are so often found together on one specimen. For centuries azurite was ground into a blue pigment for paintings. Its deep, saturated blue sets it apart from lapis lazuli, which is a rock with gold pyrite flecks, and from dyed howlite, which is much lighter and more chalky.
