This blue light moonstone sphere glows like moonlight on water. Under a lamp or window light, a vivid blue flash drifts across the creamy white, peach and gray stone as you turn it, a shimmer moonstone lovers know as adularescence. Each sphere is hand polished to a smooth, cool finish that feels lovely in the palm, and each one is a striking centerpiece for a nightstand, altar or meditation space, or a gift someone will treasure for years.

Chakra Connection

Moonstone has been linked with the moon, intuition and gentle feminine energy for centuries. In crystal tradition it connects to the crown and third eye chakras, the centers of spiritual awareness and inner knowing, and many people keep it close during new moon intentions or quiet evening reflection. It is often called a stone of new beginnings, a calm companion through change. The sphere shape adds its own symbolism: with no edges or points, a sphere is traditionally seen as a symbol of wholeness and harmony that radiates its energy evenly in every direction. How to Use

  • Set it on your nightstand or bedroom shelf and take a slow breath with it in your hands before sleep.
  • Place it on a stand under a small lamp or in a softly lit window so the blue flash shows every time you walk by.
  • Pair it with labradorite for a flashing duo, or with selenite for a soft, light-filled moon altar.
  • Hold it during new moon or full moon journaling as a focal point for your intentions.
  • Give it to a friend celebrating a new chapter, a new mom or anyone who loves the moon; a moonstone sphere is a gift that is kept and displayed for years.

Crystal Care

Moonstone is about 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale and has natural cleavage, so it can chip if knocked against harder stones or dropped. Keep it on a stand so it cannot roll. Dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it with a slightly damp cloth and dry it at once. Avoid soaking, salt water and harsh cleaners. For gentle energetic cleansing, try moonlight or sound, or read our guide on how to cleanse and charge your crystals.

FAQs

Is this real moonstone?

Yes. These spheres are natural moonstone. The blue light that moves across the surface is a natural optical effect inside the stone, which is why it shifts and fades as you turn the sphere instead of staying fixed like a painted or glass imitation.

How big is it in the hand?

Diameters run from 46mm to 66mm. A 46-51mm sphere sits neatly in one palm, about the size of a small orange, while the 59-66mm spheres feel weighty and substantial and make a bolder display piece.

Will mine look like the photo?

Yes. Each option shows the exact sphere you will receive. The flash is photographed under bright light, so in dim rooms it will look softer and will brighten again under a lamp or window light.

Does it need a stand?

Yes, we recommend one so the sphere stays put and shows off its flash. A small ring or cup stand made for spheres of about 40-70mm works well for every size in this listing.

Is blue light moonstone the same as labradorite?

No. Both are feldspars with a flash, but moonstone has a lighter, creamy body and a soft glowing blue light, while labradorite is darker gray with stronger blue, green and gold flashes.

What Is Blue Light Moonstone?

Moonstone is a feldspar mineral made of very thin alternating layers. When light enters the stone, those layers scatter it and create the soft floating glow called adularescence. Blue light moonstone is the name used in the crystal trade for moonstone with an especially strong blue flash. Its pale body ranges from white to peach to gray, often with natural feathering and small inclusions. It is sometimes confused with opalite, a man-made glass with a milky blue glow, but opalite has no natural lines and its color does not move across the surface the way moonstone's flash does.
